Bernd Berger
Bernd Berger is a German fashion brand whose company was founded in 1971 and whose operating company, Bernd Berger Mode GmbH, was based in Hennef, Germany. Its public identity was primarily fashion-led: Bernd Berger and Viventy were womenswear lines, and the business also operated through licensing arrangements. On 24 September 2002, FVDO Mode GmbH, formerly Bernd Berger Mode GmbH, filed for insolvency with the Bonn insolvency court. In the aftermath, the two lines, previously produced in-house, were planned to continue as licensed lines, while the Bernd Berger and Viventy trademark rights remained with the Berger family. A 2003 trade report said the insolvency had removed the former collection base for the licensing business.
