Bohdidharma

Launched in 2015, Bohdidharma is the fragrance house Michael Boadi created after his earlier ventures, Boadicea the Victorious and Illuminum. A British perfume house, it builds its identity around the ancient Buddhist tea ceremony and the meditative associations of tea; its name refers to the monk Bodhidharma. Tea is the collection’s defining olfactory theme, expressed through green tea and Eastern tea plants and flowers, with Japanese yuzu and Chinese lotus blossom among the botanical references used to express the concept. Boadi introduced the range publicly at a 2015 event at Roullier White, where he discussed its Buddhist tea-ceremony inspiration.
