Bond No.9 NYC

Bond No. 9 NYC debuted in 2003 at 9 Bond Street in New York’s NoHo neighborhood, founded by Laurice Rahmé. Its origin story connects its creation with New York City’s recovery and rebuilding after the September 11 attacks, while its initial creative concept interpreted the city through fragrances tied to neighborhoods, streets, and addresses; a 2004 account described 21 scents linked to 21 New York addresses. Rahmé brought prior fragrance experience from Lancôme, Annick Goutal, and Creed, and the brand expanded its creative frame beyond neighborhood references through a collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation and the 2011 I Love NY collection associated with artist Milton Glaser. Astor Place and Brooklyn won 2010 FiFi Awards for Fragrance of the Year in the Nouveau Niche categories. The Scent of Peace, created by Rahmé and presented as civic-minded, brought her the United Nations Women for Peace Award in 2015. In October 2023, Bond No. 9 marked its 20th anniversary with New York Forever, a fragrance framed around New York’s continuing identity.
