Bonpoint
Bonpoint was founded in Paris in 1975, when Marie-France and Bernard Cohen opened the first shop at 67 Rue de l’Université. Its identity is rooted in Parisian children’s fashion, with an emphasis on beauty, garment quality, detail, and finishing; the two-cherry emblem refers to the founders’ family home, La Cerisaie, in Aix-en-Provence. The brand expanded beyond clothing with a skincare range recorded in 2010 and a move into cosmetics dated by contemporary trade coverage to 2011. Its creative scope also broadened into womenswear, revived in 2022, including a Vanessa Seward womenswear and accessories collection for Autumn/Winter 2024 alongside related children’s pieces. In January 2025, Youngor Fashion, part of the Chinese Youngor group, acquired Bonpoint from EPI, transferring the brand to a new controlling owner. Bonpoint’s fragrance legacy centers on Eau de Bonpoint, created in 1986 by Annick Goutal for Marie-France Cohen and presented as the brand’s olfactory signature, associated with neroli, orange blossom, and childhood memories.
