Bortnikoff

Founded in Thailand in 2018, Bortnikoff is the perfume house of Dmitry Bortnikoff, an architect by profession and perfumer by vocation. Before establishing the house, he co-founded Feel-Oud in 2013 to distill agarwood and sandalwood oils. Bortnikoff combines traditional 19th-century distillation techniques with modern innovation, and Dmitry described the business in 2022 as a family enterprise. That year, the house appeared at BeautyWorld Middle East with new fragrance collections, following Dmitry’s earlier visits to the Dubai exhibition as an attendee. In 2023, his son Maxim Bortnikoff released Le Voyage Oriental, his debut fragrance under the house, offering a more Western interpretation of its traditional oriental theme. Oud-centered perfumery remains a clear thread in Bortnikoff’s work, reflecting its emphasis on agarwood oils and in-house distillation. Lao Oud, released in 2021, places Laotian oud and coffee at the center of its composition.
