Bronnley

Bronnley was established in 1884 by James Bronnley and began with scented soaps made from natural ingredients. It developed into a British perfumery and body-care house centered on soaps, fragrances, and botanical-inspired products. In the 1920s, publicity for its soaps, creams, and scents brought the advertising figure known as the “Bronnley Woman” into the brand’s public identity. Bronnley received Royal Warrants in 1943, 1955, and 2024. Heathcote & Ivory took ownership of the business in 2023, after which its relaunch emphasized a return to Bronnley’s original vision and restored heritage products including Lemon Soap and English Fern. Lemon is Bronnley’s clearest signature: its yellow, lemon-shaped English Lemon Wrapped Soap was first formulated in 1892, while English Fern Cologne, launched in the 1930s, remains one of the brand’s enduring fragrance references.
