Byron Parfums

Byron Parfums was created in Paris in 2016 by Yann Derriennic, known as LARCHITECT, who came to perfumery from beatmaking and street culture. The house combines hip-hop, graffiti and Parisian street culture with a deliberate rejection of conventional niche-perfumery codes, while LARCHITECT approaches composition with a music-like sensibility. Its first three fragrances reached the market in 2018; after five years in niche perfumery, LARCHITECT developed the more explicitly street-oriented Parfums de Rue project, with small-series releases and minimalist packaging. The current public direction introduces Matterhood, a collection of denser, deeper and more enveloping compositions, whose first chapter is Malik Le Souverain, an urban interpretation of Middle Eastern intensity. Mula Mula, presented as LARCHITECT’s first fragrance release, is especially associated with the house and is described as one of its bestsellers; its Art Deco limited edition marked Byron’s fifth anniversary in 2021.
