calvano
Calvano traces its origins to a Turkish shoemaker’s small leather-shoe workshop established in the 1980s. Brothers Süleyman and Ali Yağcı inherited the family trade and expanded it internationally in 2010, reaching Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Russia. In 2014, Calvano was officially launched as a South African brand, bringing its Turkish shoemaking heritage into contemporary apparel and footwear. Its public identity is centered on Turkish leather footwear and refined professional attire, alongside accessories and fragrances offered under the Calvano name. Oud recurs across several Eau de Parfum names in the brand’s fragrance range. A United States trademark application filed in 2007 covered Calvano cologne and perfume as well as clothing and footwear, but was abandoned in 2008 after the applicant failed to respond.
