Carmen Electra

Carmen Electra is the professional identity of Tara Leigh Patrick, a name Prince helped her adopt after discovering her as a dancer and working with her on music. He also played a role in her 1993 self-titled album. Her public profile includes MTV’s Singled Out, Baywatch, and Scary Movie, with her co-hosting and Baywatch role dated to 1997. Her fragrance project was announced in 2006, when she redeveloped the scent because the initial version did not feel true to her identity. The first Carmen Electra fragrance launched through LR in 2007 as a floral-fruity perfume for women, associated with peach, rose, and woody accords. A later perfume launch documented in November 2015 was shaped by Electra from the beginning, including its scent and bottle design. In 2017, she described the project as a business venture created with a partner who gave her that creative control.
