Carrement Belle

Carrément Belle began in 1986 as a boutique in central Nîmes, France, founded by Catherine and Frank. The original business sold jewellery, bags and fashion accessories before expanding into fragrance. After a trip to Grasse and a meeting with a local perfumer, the brand created ippi patchouli in 1988, its first fragrance. In 1991, Carrément Belle became a perfume house in its own right, with its fragrances crossing national borders from 1993. Today, it is an independent family perfume house based in Nîmes, shaped by contact with clients, artisans and travel. Its founders’ son, Maxime, joined in 2010 and took over the direction of the family enterprise while maintaining its original spirit. Frank Jammes is identified as the brand’s creator and developed its perfume identity as a perfumer. Ippi patchouli remains the clearest signature in the brand’s documented fragrance history, while 555 marked its first composition created with perfumer Claire.
