Casino Parfuem Saxonia
Casino Parfuem Saxonia is based in Marienberg/Pobershau, Germany, and operates as Fritzsche & Enders GbR. Its present identity is built around reviving two former East German fragrance brands: Casino, associated with 1965, and Action, associated with 1985. Casino de luxe was developed by Aerosol-Automat Oberlichtenau in the German Democratic Republic in 1963 and appeared on the market in 1965. By 1970, it had received a Gold Medal at the Leipzig Fair and was exported to the Soviet Union, Poland, and Czechoslovakia. The Casino range was discontinued after the political and economic transition of 1990, following about 25 years of production. In 2009, Fritzsche & Enders GbR acquired the rights to Casino de luxe and restarted production; the revived fragrance was presented at Cadeaux Leipzig that September, with first orders shipped in October. Gabriele Fritzsche is identified as the figure who revived the former East German fragrances. Casino de luxe, a chypre-floral fragrance credited to Günter Feustel, was one of the most sought-after East German scents. Action was reconstructed from an original 1985 formula and relaunched in 2012.
