Catharine Hill

Catharine Hill was founded in Brazil in 1982 by Olga Catharina and industrial chemist Luiz De Benedetti to develop professional makeup for the Brazilian market, offering a local alternative where imported products were widely used. The brand became associated with artistic and characterization makeup, including Brazil’s first complete line in that field, and created an academy that has offered more than 30 courses and trained over 10,000 professionals nationwide. In the late 2010s, Catharine Hill retained its professional line while introducing more versatile collections for consumers and professionals, including CHILL and later themed collections. Its identity brings together professional performance, artistic expression, diversity, and education, framing makeup as a tool for identity, creativity, confidence, and freedom. Catharine Hill is described as a family business with succession from Olga Catharina to her children, Julia and Fabio Benedetti.
