Centauri Perfumes

Centauri Perfumes Ltd was incorporated in the United Kingdom on 31 July 2019, and the house officially launched on 22 December that year at 4:19 a.m., timed to the winter solstice. Independent and hand-crafted in small batches in Yorkshire, England, Centauri was established by Carter, whose earlier offshore oil-and-gas work and personal perfume collecting led him to study perfumery; he is self-taught. The house’s identity is organized around the cosmos, stars, solstices and equinoxes, expressed through an eight-pointed star logo and three collections—Past, Present and Future—that correspond to natural materials, mixed media and a greater emphasis on modern aroma chemicals. In 2020, Centauri released the 97-bottle limited edition Shambho, made with Ensar Oud oils. Carter’s July 2023 launch of Elixir placed a fragrance outside the regular three-collection framework. The brand presented Santalamore and Carina in October 2024 and Vanillium in July 2025.
