Chabaud

Chabaud Maison de Parfum is a family-owned French niche perfume house founded in Montpellier in 2002 by the Chabaud family. Founder Sophie Chabaud is identified as the maison’s originator, drawing its concept from memories of the garden where she spent her childhood. The house frames fragrance as an expression of memory and emotion, with a poetic aesthetic and an emphasis on refined simplicity. Chabaud was redesigned in 2012 and presented internationally at Milan’s Esxence niche-fragrance fair in 2013. Mattia Bono joined the brand’s development in 2013 after first encountering it as a customer in 2012; later coverage identifies him as co-founder and brand director. Chabaud is especially associated with gourmand fragrances, particularly the milk series: Lait de Biscuit, Lait Concentré, and Lait et Chocolat. Later coverage describes that series as an icon of the brand, expressing nostalgia and innocence through scent.
