Chanson Cosmetics

Founded in Shizuoka, Japan, in 1946 by Hiroshi Kawamura, Chanson Cosmetics began as a cosmetics manufacturer. Its founding purpose included supporting women’s economic independence, expressed through an early model that supplied cosmetics to saleswomen without upfront capital and settled accounts according to sales. The company developed its beauty-research approach through the 1966 joint development and commercialization of Calopeptide and, in 1991, its Shin-Biyori beauty theory, based on dermatology and paired with skin-cycle-focused cosmetics and skin analysis. A 1997 merger formed the present Chanson Cosmetics Inc. The company describes its identity in terms of human relationships and trust, and its product-making principles as safety, stability, and originality.
