Fragrance house

chispas

Chispas is a Dana fragrance, rather than an independently documented perfume house. Recorded as a unisex fragrance released in 1982, it became associated in Spain with a first or childhood cologne and was described as having marked a generation. Its public identity was strongly tied to 1980s advertising, including a campaign with an exclusive melody by Ramón Llenas; El País later called the advertisement iconic. In 2020, Dana relaunched Chispas and resumed its production after a period when it had not been made, and the fragrance remains listed in Dana’s current product catalogue. Dana describes the scent as unisex, combining citrus with sweeter, romantic and vanilla facets. Later coverage likewise connects Chispas with fresh, clean, citrus and lightly vanilla fragrances remembered from childhood.
