Fragrance house
Chris Collins
Founded by Chris Collins in 2018, Chris Collins grew from its founder’s background as a Harlem-connected fashion model and long-term Ralph Lauren brand ambassador into an eponymous fragrance house. Its creative identity treats fragrance as storytelling rooted in memory, place, culture, and personal transformation. The Harlem Renaissance collection interprets 1920s Harlem through music, fashion, Black artistic culture, and modern artistry, while the portfolio also includes Dark Romance, Rubeus, and Anima. The original Harlem Renaissance launch comprised Harlem Nights, Renaissance Man, and Danse Sauvage, linking the scents to Collins’s Harlem and Paris narrative. In 2022, World of Chris Collins launched on Sephora’s website as the first Black-owned fragrance brand stocked by the retailer. African Rooibos, built around rooibos, spice, and woods, is presented as one of the brand’s bestsellers.
