Christopher Columbus 1492 is a French men’s fragrance associated with the Parfums Axis Paris business and manufactured by Beauty Perfume Paris. Introduced in 1992 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’s voyage, it is an aromatic and woody classic with a woody-oriental profile. The related Axis house was founded in 1998, initially specializing in masculine fragrances before expanding into women’s Eau de Parfum. AXIS was acquired by Arnaud in 2022, after which he partnered with Juliette to develop more contemporary fragrances.
