Chrome Hearts

Chrome Hearts began in a Los Angeles garage in 1988 under the direction of Richard Stark. Its early identity centered on motorcycle-oriented leather clothing and sterling-silver hardware, combining biker clothing with custom craftsmanship. The brand received the CFDA Accessory Designer of the Year award in 1992. Its creative direction is governed by the personal artistic choices of Richard and Laurie Lynn Stark, with Richard rejecting trend-driven product development. In 2019, Chrome Hearts entered beauty with its first fragrance collection, developed by Laurie Lynn and Richard Stark with their daughter Jesse Jo and centered on the unisex +22+ and +33+ scents. In 2022, Vogue reported that the Starks controlled the brand; that year, Richard and Laurie Lynn Stark also received the CFDA Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award.
