Claudia Scattolini
Claudia Scattolini centers on bespoke fragrance design, translating the character, history, or values of a person, place, or brand into a customized scent, while also creating olfactory environments and private-label fragrances. Born in Peschiera del Garda in 1973 to a family of pharmacists, Scattolini studied Pharmacy at the University of Ferrara and later perfumery at ISIPCA in Versailles, where she studied with Jean-Claude Ellena and Jean-Jacques Etienne; after working with perfume and cosmetics laboratories, she established her business in 2007. In 2010, architect Giugiaro included her in his Annual: Design for Architecture, and in 2012 she launched her own room-fragrance and eau de parfum lines; she founded a Milan perfume school in 2016 and, in 2017, founded the company Fragrance Designer with her father. Her fragrance work includes Agrums, included by Nicolas de Barry in his 2014 book 101 parfums à découvrir, and Lucrezia Extrait de parfum, created for the University of Padua’s 800th anniversary in 2022.
