Comporta Perfumes

Founded in 2017 by Pedro Simões Dias, Comporta Perfumes is headquartered in Comporta, Setúbal, Portugal, and draws its identity from the landscape and lived experience of the region. Its fragrances translate the Atlantic coast, beaches, vegetation, pine and juniper areas, rice fields and architecture of Comporta into scent. Dias develops the concepts and direction with international perfumers, including Bertrand Duchaufour, Chris Maurice, Stéphanie Bakouche, Daniel Josier, Luca Maffei, Béatrice Aguilar and Miguel Matos. In 2019, the brand partnered with Vista Alegre on a redesigned glass bottle inspired by the wooden supports of Comporta’s palafitic quay. It later expanded beyond fine fragrance through the Home Stories Collection, while later launches introduced a Master & Apprentice format pairing two perfumers on one scent. Mosquito is a signature fragrance that became a best-selling perfume and led to a related Home Stories interpretation. In 2024, 50 received an honorable mention in the Independent Category of the Art and Olfaction Awards.
