Contém 1g

Contém 1g was founded in 1984 by Rogério and Marta Rubini in São João da Boa Vista, São Paulo, beginning as a clothing and textile business. In 1994, Rogério Rubini redirected the company toward personal hygiene, perfumery, and cosmetics, and began producing Contém 1g perfumes while retaining the name. The brand launched its makeup line in 1999, a move identified as a major growth turning point, and later combined direct selling with franchising. After a period away from Brazil’s beauty market, Contém 1g was acquired by Julia Petit and Daniel Wjuniski, founders of Sallve, and relaunched under the Sallve group in January 2023. Petit became the relaunch’s creative figure, updating earlier innovations and familiar products for contemporary makeup; the current official site identifies her as co-founder and creative director and Contém 1g as a Sallve brand.
