Crazylibellule and the Poppies
Crazylibellule and the Poppies was launched in 2005 by Isabelle Masson-Mandonnaud through Louise Entreprises. Developed from 2004, its concept used solid fragrance enclosed in a lipstick-style stick, drawing on the older perfume-concrete format. The brand’s creative identity centered on a portable, alcohol-free perfume applied directly to the skin as a caress rather than sprayed. By 2010, its CrazySticks were organized into four thematic collections: Les Divines Alcôves, Poule de Luxe, Les Garçonnes, and ShanghaiJava. Les Garçonnes, identified in 2009 as the latest collection, paid homage to free and extravagant women of the previous century, including Gabrielle Chanel and Joséphine Baker. The brand expanded internationally from 2007, while its initial retail model in France struggled with limited visibility and the absence of advice at the point of sale. In April 2009, Enex Group acquired a majority controlling stake in Louise Enterprises. By 2013, the brand was described as discontinued after a shareholder conflict, and Masson-Mandonnaud later said the company had been dissolved. She continued the solid-fragrance concept with Le Soft Perfume, launched in South Korea in 2012.
