Cricket Australia

Cricket Australia is the national governing body for cricket in Australia. Its institutional history reaches back to March 1892, when the Australasian Cricket Council was established as the first central administrative body for Australian cricket. The Australian Board of Control for International Cricket followed in 1905, before the organisation changed its name to the Australian Cricket Board in 1973 and became Cricket Australia on 1 July 2003. That 2003 change was presented as a branding and public-profile initiative intended to create a more coordinated national identity for Australian cricket. Cricket Australia is a foundation member of the International Cricket Council and one of its full members.
