Cult Gaia
Cult Gaia is an LA-based brand founded and designed by Jasmin Larian Hekmat, with the Council of Fashion Designers of America dating its launch to 2012. It began with accessories such as flower crowns and turbans before developing into a broader lifestyle brand spanning ready-to-wear, shoes, swimwear, sunglasses, and other accessories. Its creative identity centers on nature, women, architecture, and objects designed as wearable art or conversation starters. The Ark bag, introduced in 2013, initially struggled to gain traction; its later social-media-driven rise made it the brand’s breakthrough product, with sales tripling from 2016 to 2017 and a waitlist exceeding 1,500 people. Cult Gaia entered fragrance with Mast, Zan, and Noor, presenting the trio as an extension of its immersive brand world. Their Farsi-linked names reflect Larian Hekmat’s Persian heritage, while the bottles were designed as art objects. The current fragrance collection includes the three eau de parfums and a discovery set.
