D:SOL MMXVI

D:SOL MMXVI is an independent fragrance house founded in Berlin in 2016 by Dennis K. Werner, a beauty and communications professional with more than two decades of experience in international beauty and luxury advertising. Its creative language brings together memories of Mallorca’s Mediterranean light and warmth with Berlin’s urban style, art and collective energy, presenting a contrast between minimalist exteriors and warm, sunny interiors. Rather than reproducing a literal destination, the house translates impressions of sun, landscape, plants and human presence into atmospheric perfumery. After more than three years of development, D:SOL introduced its first fragrance collection in 2020, a trio of Eau de Parfums created by Marie Urban Le Febvre. The house’s later work moved into darker territory through oud- and cistus-focused compositions: Sombra was presented as the first creation in its Oud Collection and was selected for the Top 10 of ÇaFleureBon’s Best of Scent 2023. Terram, from the original launch, also received independent editorial attention, including a review that called it a winning fragrance and preferred it to the brand’s other 2020 releases.
