Daniel Josier
Daniel Josier is the public creative identity of perfumer Daniel Cadierno, a name he adopted to separate his professional persona from his family identity and to pay tribute to his wife Josune, who helped establish the company and worked in perfumery quality and raw-material control. Cadierno began working in perfumery in 1997 at Haarmann & Reimer, moved to Iberchem in 2004, and took responsibility for Expressions Parfumées’ Iberia activities in 2008. In January 2009, he created L’Atelier del Perfume to develop essences and finished perfume products for small companies. He decided to launch his own perfume brand in 2013, and the Daniel Josier line appeared in 2014. Sandalwood recurs as a personal signature in his creations, alongside vetiver and unusual woods. Ambre Tabac, the line’s first perfume, became its flagship and best-known fragrance. In 2022, he introduced the more personal Signature collection, whose first fragrance, April 3rd, was dedicated to his mother. In 2026, the fragrance 28 received El País ICON’s Perfume de Autor award.
