David Beckham

The David Beckham fragrance brand was established in February 2005 through Coty’s global licensing agreement with David and Victoria Beckham to develop and market fragrances and related beauty products under their names. David Beckham’s first fragrance, Instinct, launched that year. In 2011, Beckham and business partner Simon Fuller announced a new David Beckham brand identity and branded product line, alongside a shift toward a broader lifestyle identity. By 2019, the Beckham name operated through licensing, sponsorships, trademarks and intellectual-property deals. On February 24, 2022, Authentic Brands Group entered a strategic partnership with Beckham to co-own and manage his global brand, becoming the largest shareholder in Studio 99, the creative and production studio Beckham co-founded in 2019. Beckham has been integral to fragrance development and works closely with perfumers. The David Beckham Instinct relaunch contributed to Coty’s fiscal 2024 mass-fragrance growth. On January 28, 2026, Interparfums announced an exclusive 20-year worldwide fragrance licence, with full global responsibility scheduled to begin April 1, 2028, and a new signature fragrance planned by the end of 2029.
