David Garrett
David Garrett is the professional identity of a German classical and crossover violinist. He made his orchestral stage debut in 1991 and, at 13, became the youngest exclusive artist signed by Deutsche Grammophon. After moving to New York and studying at Juilliard, he turned toward crossover music; his 2007 album Free marked his breakthrough in the pop market. His artistic identity combines classical violin with rock and pop, a direction expressed by the 2010 Rock Symphonies project. In 2013, Garrett made his film debut as Niccolò Paganini in The Devil’s Violinist. His 2024–2026 Millennium Symphony project continues this crossover direction, with the album released by Polydor/Universal on 18 October 2024. Garrett’s fragrance venture began in 2010, when he and SANS SOUCIS developed the Rock Symphonies collection, announced for November launch. The line, comprising Rock Symphonies Man and Rock Symphonies Woman, was his first perfume collection and drew its concept from his classical-rock music and style.
