Day Three Fragrances

Founded in 2022 by Michael and Vanessa Paul, Day Three Fragrances is an independent niche house whose scents are composed by Michael, with Vanessa as owner and operator. The family-run brand builds its work around personal memory: its core line draws on Michael’s experiences, while the Dominican Culture Collection reflects family heritage and Dominican life, including references to Dominican coffee and cake, mamajuana, maduros, bachata, and cigars. La Tacita de Café, Michael’s first fragrance, grew from the coffee, brown sugar, vanilla cake, and flowers associated with his mother-in-law’s Dominican home. It won the 2023 Aftel Award for Handmade Perfume and received ScentXplore’s Best Debut Fragrance award in 2024. Michael’s background as a former magician brings a storytelling perspective to the house’s scent design.
