Dear Rose

Dear Rose was founded in 2014 by mother-and-daughter partners Chantal Roos and Alexandra Roos as a niche fragrance brand. The project began with Alexandra’s proposal to combine Chantal’s fragrance expertise with her own artistic and musical background, shaping an identity centered on women, perfume, storytelling, femininity, and the transmission of knowledge between generations. Alexandra also led the artistic direction and image, with musical references influencing fragrance names and creative presentation. The initial launch comprised five fragrances composed with perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin. In 2018, the brand changed its name to Roos & Roos after customers associated Dear Rose with rose-based fragrances; the new name expressed the founders’ family identity and international positioning. Chantal Roos’s prior fragrance work included her association with Yves Saint Laurent’s 1977 Opium launch and later work connected with Jean Paul Gaultier, Issey Miyake, and Tom Ford. Under the Roos & Roos name, Mentha Religiosa received a FiFi Award for its peppermint, patchouli, and incense concept.
