Declaré

In 1978, the company behind Declaré developed a cosmetics line for sensitive skin. The brand’s identity is centered on skincare for sensitive skin, with tradition and innovation as continuing principles. Its stated philosophy emphasizes honesty, responsibility, and transparency, including the early practice of listing all ingredients on packaging before this was legally required. After Greiter’s business was sold to Johnson & Johnson, Karl Troll obtained control of Declaré, first through a licensing arrangement and later through a sale by Johnson & Johnson. Troll’s assumption of Declaré formed the basis of Troll Cosmetics, a family business established in 1991 and subsequently run with his daughter, Barbara Sandner-Troll. Today, Declaré is published by Troll Cosmetics GmbH, based in Schwarzach, Austria, for Austrian and international markets. In 2010, Troll Cosmetics also acquired the Juvena and Marlies Möller brands from Beiersdorf, expanding its portfolio alongside Declaré.
