Designer Parfums

Designer Parfums is a family-owned fragrance company created in the early 2000s after the Mehta family’s Shaneel Group acquired Worth Paris. Its start is dated to 2001–2002. The company works across heritage, fashion, lifestyle, and celebrity segments through owned brands, licences, and distribution rights. Its portfolio broadened through the 2011 acquisition of Jean Patou, including its perfumery and couture, followed by an agreement to acquire Ghost’s fine-fragrance business from P&G Prestige, with completion envisaged for January 2012. In May 2018, Designer Parfums acquired the fragrance licence for Playboy. That year, LVMH acquired Jean Patou and signed a strategic agreement with Designer Parfums concerning the clothing division; Guillaume Henry subsequently became the house’s artistic director. Designer Parfums received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade in 2020. Glow by JLO, launched in 2002, is an iconic, still-successful fragrance in the portfolio. Joy, a reference fragrance and major commercial success, was part of the Jean Patou fragrance business managed by Designer Parfums from 2011 until the 2018 transaction.
