Desperate Housewives
Desperate Housewives is an hour-long comedy-drama series that premiered on ABC on October 3, 2004, and concluded on May 13, 2012. Created by Marc Cherry, who also served as executive producer and writer, it follows the lives and secrets of neighbors on Wisteria Lane, a seemingly perfect suburb where domestic drama, mystery, and darkly comic, soap-like storytelling intersect. Produced by Cherry Productions in association with Touchstone Television for ABC, the series won the 2005 Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series and the Emmy for Outstanding Main Title Theme Music; Cherry was also recognized as a writer and executive producer. ABC announced in August 2011 that its eighth season would be its last, following discussions with Cherry about when to conclude the show. Its fragrance history includes a Disney and ABC fragrance developed with Coty in 2006 and later identified as Forbidden Fruit, followed by four character-based fragrances launched by LR Health & Beauty Systems in 2009 for Gabrielle, Susan, Bree, and Lynette.
