Fragrance house
Divine
Founded in Dinard, France, in 1986 by Yvon Mouchel after his work as a product manager at L’Oréal, Divine is an independent, poetic perfumery centered on its own creations. It takes time to create, avoids following advertising and fashion trends, and initially maintained a deliberately confidential, artistically oriented identity. In 2021, Mouchel’s daughter Céline joined the family venture, broadening its public creative identity toward environmental awareness and renewed attention to olfactory education while retaining an emphasis on creation over market testing. Divine’s first fragrance, launched in 1986 as a radiant chypre, remains the house’s guiding reference. In 2002, L’Homme de Cœur became Divine’s first men’s fragrance, placing iris—traditionally associated with feminine perfumery—at the center of its creative idea.
