Donna Karen (DKNY)
Donna Karan launched Seven Easy Pieces with her first collection in 1984, establishing an interchangeable clothing system designed around the needs of modern women. The wardrobe brought together essentials including a bodysuit, tailored jacket, skirt, pants, cashmere sweater, leather jacket, and evening look, creating combinations suited to movement from day to evening. In 1989, DKNY was introduced as a next-generation counterpart inspired by New York’s energy and attitude, with practical contemporary dressing for women whose days span multiple roles and settings. LVMH became the controlling owner of the Donna Karan group in 2001, before G-III Apparel Group acquired Donna Karan International on December 1, 2016. G-III later repositioned DKNY and introduced an archive-informed Donna Karan system of dressing for Spring 2024, emphasizing timeless elegance and empowering women. In fragrance, DKNY Be Delicious, launched in 2004, is associated with the Big Apple concept and achieved global blockbuster status. Inter Parfums assumed the exclusive global fragrance license for Donna Karan and DKNY on July 1, 2022, with Donna Karan Cashmere Mist and DKNY Be Delicious identified among the established fragrances.
