Dryland Wilds

Dryland Wilds was founded around 2016 by Cebastien Rose and Robin Moore, who had previously farmed and first considered combining food and skincare. The Albuquerque-based company evolved into a New Mexico bioregional perfumery offering perfume, skincare, and foraging education. Its practice translates New Mexico landscapes into wearable botanical perfumes through plant, soil, and fungi extractions, using methods such as steam distillation, maceration, and enfleurage. The founders’ wildcrafting model focuses on common and invasive plants—including Russian olive, tamarisk, snakeweed, tumbleweed, piñon, and sage—and involves working with farmers, ranchers, and landowners to harvest them while reducing reliance on herbicides and unwanted plant growth. Foraging walks and workshops were documented as part of the brand’s purpose by 2019; by 2022, Rose and Moore continued combining perfume-making with seasonal Wild Walks and responsible-harvesting education. Piñon and ponderosa are prominent creative references: the piñon soliflore was associated with emotional recognition of New Mexico, while Ponderosa interprets a specific forest experience through botanical extracts and landscape elements.
