Dubai Chocolate

Dubai Chocolate is primarily associated with FIX Dessert Chocolatier, a confectionery business founded in Dubai in 2021. Its founding concept translated Middle Eastern dessert traditions into chocolate, first expressed in the bar “Can’t Get Knafeh of It.” Sarah Hamouda developed the concept during pregnancy-related cravings and worked with Filipino pastry chef and culinary consultant Nouel Catis Omamalin on the recipe and its technical execution; Yezen Alani is identified as her co-founder and co-owner. A TikTok video posted by Maria Vehera in December 2023 brought the bar to a much wider audience and helped establish “Dubai Chocolate” as its common public description. By December 2024, however, the term was also used broadly for pistachio-filled chocolate with kadayif by unrelated bakeries and major manufacturers, functioning as a generic product description rather than an exclusive brand identity.
