Duru

Duru was created by Evyap in 1967 as a personal-cleansing brand. Its parent company traces its origins to a family soap business founded by Mehmet Rıfat Evyap in Erzurum in 1927, before the family relocated to Istanbul in 1943. Duru began with bar soap and expanded into liquid soap, shower gel, hair-care products, and soap-based granular laundry detergent. The brand entered international markets in 1980, and Evyap’s chronology records Duru’s international television publicity from 1992. Today, Duru is presented as an Evyap family brand owned and operated by the family’s third generation, with a portfolio spanning personal washing and cleansing products including bar soap, liquid soap, shower gel, cologne, and hair care.
