E. Coudray

E. Coudray is a Paris perfume house founded in 1822 by Edmond Coudray, a doctor-chemist whose work included soaps, ointments, balms and fragrances. His creations were associated with royal courts, and he became an official provider to crowned heads, including Queen Victoria, for whom he dedicated Queen Victoria Perfume. In 1960, Pierre Brumeaux-Kiener, identified as Edmond Coudray’s great-grandnephew, developed the house’s bath concept. A modern ownership phase began in 2002 when Eric Amouyal took over E. Coudray, retaining its historic formulas, bottles and museum. The house’s contemporary identity brings fragrance into a broader beauty ritual through coordinated formats including eau de toilette, body oil, body cream and bath products, while its packaging and fragrances have been modernized. Agua Divina is described as a famous E. Coudray fragrance with enduring devotees.
