Eau de Tihany

Eau de Tihany traces its origins to 2009, when Hollán Éva and Nyárádi Zsolt opened their first lavender shop in Tihany. The business developed into the Tihanyi Levendula Manufaktúra, with a dedicated lavender plantation and manufactory, and sought to give Tihany lavender renewed value and visibility. Based in Tihany, Hungary, the brand draws on the region’s lavender, local traditions, and Balaton landscape. Its historical identity is linked to Gyula Bittera, who established French lavender cultivation in Tihany in the 1920s; the brand later created the Bittera Gyula Foundation to research and present his legacy. Premier, created with perfumer Viktoria Minya, was introduced in 2022 as the brand’s first Tihany niche perfume. In 2025, Nyárádi Natália became its in-house perfumer and introduced Tihanyi Visszhang as her first public perfume, built around the legend of Tihany’s echo and presented as the first piece in a broader artistic series connecting local heritage with contemporary perfumery.
