Eau Jeune
Eau Jeune was launched in 1977 as a L’Oréal fragrance brand, with a concept built around fresh, citrus, aromatic and herbaceous scents for everyday wear and a younger working woman’s self-directed identity. Its original fragrance, commissioned from perfumer Pierre Bourdon, was a green aromatic fougère centered on Sicilian green mandarin, green mint, rosewood and oakmoss. Over time, the brand broadened its fragrance identity through collaborations with perfumers including Dominique Ropion, Anne Flipo, Nathalie Lorson and Sophie Labbé, while remaining part of L’Oréal’s French consumer-brand portfolio. Senteurs Fraîches is the historical fragrance most closely associated with Eau Jeune: it was the original 1977 launch scent and later named that original fragrance identity. The brand’s fragrance history also includes Démon, which dates from 1993 and remains among its best sellers. In 2015, Eau Jeune Double Je received the Fragrance Foundation France FiFi Award for Best Feminine Mass Market Perfume; Symrise identifies Evelyne Boulanger as its perfumer.
