Edward Bess

Edward Bess launched his namesake beauty brand at Bergdorf Goodman in 2006 with Lip Wardrobe, a debut of ten lipsticks and five glosses that sold out on its debut. The line subsequently grew from lip color into eye and face makeup, Black Sea skincare, and an edited hair-care range. Its creative approach emphasizes simplicity and timeless beauty, with products released when their formulas are ready rather than on a fixed fashion cycle. In 2016, the brand introduced a perfume collection created with master perfumer Carlos Benaïm. The opening trio—Genre, La Femme Bohème, and Spanish Veil—emerged from a two-year process in which Bess supplied the concepts and Benaïm led the perfumery work. Edward Bess also created the limited-edition Blood, Sweat and Tears fragrance in collaboration with Michèle Lamy and her LAMYLAND boxing project.
