Efva Attling

Efva Attling returned to jewellery design in 1996 after working as a model, musician and clothing designer. She opened her first studio and shop on Stockholm’s Hornsgatan in February 1999, establishing a base for a jewellery brand built around silver, gold, diamonds and gemstones. Its creative identity, “Beauty with a thought,” connects contemporary design with words, music, humour, seriousness, love and explicit messages. Among Attling’s first designs was Homo Sapiens, which became the starting point of the Attling jewellery universe; Madonna’s wearing of the piece helped bring the design a major breakthrough. In 2010, Attling became the first designer to win the newly established Accessory category at Sweden’s Guldknappen awards. The brand later broadened its creative platform through HÖGDALEN, an online sub-brand and collaboration hub launched in 2019. Efva Attling also entered fragrance with seven perfumes made with Robertet in Grasse, in bottles designed with Pierre Dinand and finished with jewellery-inspired stoppers. The first perfume, Amor Vincit Omnia, drew inspiration from Attling’s mother’s Shalimar and was developed with perfumer Jérôme Epinette at Robertet.
