Elsha

Elsha is a family-owned fragrance business dating to 1936, founded by Elias Lazaroff and built around craftsmanship, tradition, and U.S.-made fragrances. In 1965, the Kaprielian family, through Cosway Company, purchased Elsha, with Roy and Dennis Kaprielian managing the brand. Jeff Scott reintroduced Elsha to online retail in 1989 after contacting Cosway Company, and in 2019 Dennis Kaprielian sold the brand to Scott. Elsha’s enduring olfactory identity is traditional American Russian Leather perfumery, represented by 1776 Russian Leather. Produced for more than ninety years, the fragrance is described as the brand’s signature Russian Leather scent and has continued across Elsha’s long history. The brand’s current presentation remains centered on family continuity, craftsmanship, and timeless fragrance-making.
