Fragrance house
Emper
Emper Perfumes was founded in Dubai in 2006 by Akbar Mun. The business developed into a global perfume house, with family continuity through his son, Azhar Akbar Mun. Its creative identity combines Arabic and oriental fragrance inspiration with contemporary perfumery and design-led storytelling, while its portfolio includes Emper, Le Chameau, Al Fares, and Prive. In September 2025, Emper announced Gold Sponsorship of Beautyworld Middle East 2025 and described its international presence as spanning more than 120 markets. A defining collection in its portfolio is Perfumes Capital, which debuted internationally in Miami in January 2026 before arriving in the UAE in June. Conceived as distinct from Emper’s wider portfolio, the collection draws on Azhar Akbar Mun’s travels and frames its fragrances as stories based on destinations and memories.
