Engelsrufer
Engelsrufer traces its origins to 1998, when Sabine and Mario Martini opened a watch and jewelry specialist store in Schwabach, Germany. After expanding their Martini Schmuckzeit retail business, they launched Engelsrufer in 2010, inspired by the Spanish tradition of Llamadores de ángeles, or angel callers, and their interest in Southeast Asian philosophies. Its identity centers on jewelry with personal meaning and emotional storytelling through the “Powerful Meanings” concept, rather than jewelry as a purely decorative accessory. The brand initially sold through the Martinis’ own stores before presenting publicly at a jewelry trade fair and entering selected retail partnerships in 2012. The Herzengel children’s line followed in 2014. In 2015, Martini Schmuckzeit was renamed Schmuckzeit Europe GmbH, the company identified in Engelsrufer’s current legal notice as responsible for the brand. In the United Kingdom, it was publicly rebranded in 2019 as Angel Whisperer by Engelsrufer. Its first fragrance collection launched in 2016, extending its angel-themed, meaning-led jewelry design into scent, with bottles styled after the brand’s jewelry pendants.
