Fragrance house
Enrico Coveri
Enrico Coveri’s fashion identity emerged publicly with its first Paris collection in 1977, after the designer had begun working for Touche in 1973. The Enrico Coveri S.p.A. company was established in 1980. The house’s visual language is associated with vivid color, prints, and sequins, and its creative development included relationships with Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, and Renato Guttuso, including a recorded Warhol collaboration in 1983. In the early 1980s, the house expanded into cosmetics and fragrance: Paillettes launched in 1982, followed by a men’s fragrance, while Enrico Coveri Pour Femme and Enrico Coveri Firenze were also among the launches recorded for 1982–1985. The You Young Coveri line followed in 1985, and Coveri received the Grande Médaille de Vermeil in Paris in 1987. After Enrico Coveri died in 1990 at 38, his sister Silvana succeeded him and the firm remained within the family, with a later generation taking a leading creative role. Since 2020, Sifarma has licensed development, production, and global distribution of the fragrances. Paillettes is the clearest defining fragrance example in the evidence.
