Experimental Perfume Club (EPC.) was founded in London in 2016 by French perfumer Emmanuelle Moeglin, beginning as a studio that offered workshops intended to make perfumery more accessible. The venture developed from hands-on scent workshops into a perfume laboratory and then a fragrance brand. Its creative approach challenges conventional perfumery through accessible, interactive scents that can be worn individually or shaped through blending. Moeglin trained at ISIPCA and previously worked in fragrance evaluation and development before establishing the company. The Layers collection’s first kit launched at Liberty in London in 2018, followed by Layers 02 at Harvey Nichols in May 2019; Layers is the collection most directly associated with EPC’s public fragrance identity. EPC Ltd has been B Corp certified since June 2024.
