Eric Buterbaugh Florals

Eric Buterbaugh Florals grew from Eric Buterbaugh’s Los Angeles floral-design practice. After leaving fashion in 1998, Buterbaugh developed professional floral work in the city, including a residency at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. In 2015, he and Fabrice Croisé founded the brand as an extension of that practice into fragrance. Its first concept was a collection of unisex floral scents, created with perfumers at Firmenich to focus on the characteristic scent of individual flowers. The public launch accompanied the opening of a West Hollywood boutique that incorporated a perfumery, gallery, and event space. Puig became a minority shareholder in May 2016, increased its participation to a majority in April 2018, and took control. By 2019, the line was being relaunched as Eric Buterbaugh Los Angeles with redesigned floral packaging and additional fragrances; Puig’s 2021 annual report lists the name among its niche fragrance own brands. The collection’s fragrance identity is organized around floral interpretations including violet, hyacinth, tuberose, lily of the valley, lavender, jasmine, and rose.
